Old Town Scottsdale
October & November
Hello My Old Town Scottsdale Traveling Babes!
Welcome to your adult "Never Never Land" where no matter your age there is always time to play. AZ local gal here, been in the industry for over a decade & let me tell you, October and November are some of the first fabulous months of the season. The summer is over, and people start going out again. The locals return and the tourists start flying in. From the early morning hikers going up Camelback Mountain, the local coffee shops and stores on 3rd, brunches that start with mimosas, our outstanding happy hour scene of day drinkers, the rooftop pools and cabanas, all the way to the entertainment district of nightlife that goes into the morning hours of another city that does not sleep. This hidden gem in the desert is our paradise. I have always said that if Beverly Hills, Miami and a touch of Vegas all had a baby in the desert, that is Old Town Scottsdale. We welcome the Lululemon morning pilates/yogis and runners in addition to the 6 AM morning drinkers. It's your playground & we do not judge.
By October, football is in full swing; the holiday season has started and the bar scene is packed! Most people are transplants so you may just find a local bar representing your college or NFL team. The entertainment district has huge block parties they throw for all the biggest events in town, including the Halloween block party done the weekend before where everyone is dressed in their hottest costumes. The bachelorette party girls also start flying in and you just may see them on one of those Party Bikes around town blaring "Single Ladies." Single and ready to mingle might as well be the slogan for this town. This city is also famous for its diverse and exciting culinary scene. You're bound to see a celebrity out dining in one of our sexy, upscale restaurants around the high-end, Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall.
In November, we slide right into our Scottsdazzle and Thanksgiving where we have events all over the canal by the Waterfront. We start with the notorious day before Thanksgiving, also known as the biggest drinking day of the year followed by the biggest eating day of the year and finally the biggest shopping day of the year, Black Friday. The pumpkins are still out but the Christmas lights have now gone up for the Scottsdazzle weekend, sliding us right into the end of the year! Enjoy the show, immerse yourselves and have fun! See you all in December. Until next time, my Old Town Scottsdale Travelers!
